Tim Smiley is an award-winning creative director based in Los Angeles, originally from London.
Tim has worked for some of the top agencies and most high profile brands in the world, with 18 years of experience in identity design and animation. He can run a projects from conception to execution, and design and animate to an equally high standard across 2D and 3D platforms.
While still being available to agencies as a freelance CD, designer and animator, his recent trajectory is working directly with brands. Tim can offer clients a world class agency standard of service without the agency rates.
He has a nimble targeted approach to working, with an innate ability to not only understand client needs, but to expand their minds to help them create something truly iconic. He takes particular joy in working closely with forward thinking start-up brands that are looking for guidance to help bring their precious ideas to life. Tim’s strengths are in creating concept-led identities that have a progressive visual take, which can work across all platforms, while maintaining an own-able brand unity.
Depending on the scale of the project Tim can work individually or can build a team of some of the worlds top production / strategy / creative talent.
